May Update for Passage

With the month of May (and the showers here in Edinburgh) comes a new version of Passage, with a complete redesign that makes getting to grips with the technology and the app. Included in the major improvements:

  • Major visual overhaul: complete with helpful video examples, less wordiness and more clarity, and a brand new orange. This redesign comes after extensive discussion with our early adopters, and will make the process of getting set up far easier going forward.

  • Improved image feedback: We massively improved the process for picture registration across the board, allowing for more intelligent image capture which can feed back useful tips and advice about their picture, especially if it is too dark, too blurry, too changing, or clearly a face. This will also improve recognition performance and speed.

  • Expedited text registration (Android only): The app will now speed most Android users through the text message verification process without requiring them to type their number or hunt through their texts for a code. Texting speed is also improved thanks to the good people at Nexmo.

  • Speed improvements: The speed of password list retrieval, login times, app launch and other functions is improved across the app.

We can’t thank our early testers enough for their help feeding back their experience using the app, and we are eager to hear if you have any suggestions or comments for us going forward. There are some very exciting improvements on the horizon, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next.

Stay tuned -
